I guess this is the first instance of implied violence in the comic. One wonders what sort of life Mr. Goglio led that he was so quickly willing to bludgeon a business partner and loving dad to death with a shovel.

Is Dustmark City the actual legally assigned name of the place or is it what Amber very accurately refers to it as because it certainly does look like the place all the depressing city life scenes in movies and series’ are shot…

Oh wow, I guess the governors of this place like taking things quite literally.

Also, Evey, 10 years is enough for a village to have flying cars and drone food delivery; what are you talking about?! And I would ask Amber the same thing but almost everything she says makes me question what she’s talking about so I won’t even bother asking anymore.

I thought this legend was going to span to centuries past but apparently Amber’s dad was involved in the story so okay, I have been fooled. Also, why would she go with the title ‘Mistress’? That doesn’t sound too… err… fancy. Especially in a city where everything seems to be named literally.

Jumping out of a truck they paid good money for en route to a foreign city is a terribly bad idea and is going to be a terribly bad inconvenience…

Aww, the poor opossum though! What if it has a family?!

Poor thing is still alive?! That might actually be worse than an instant kill if they cannot save it! Evey looks angry and Amber is starting to look angry as well except now we have a dying opossum thrown into the mix; uh oh!

How are you even going to flag the truck back down when he’s already merrily on his way and I’m willing to bet that he’s already conscious of the relieved burden onboard! But how are you even going to help the poor opossum, what if carrying it around is going to make its condition even worse?! Ah, so much dilemma!

I’ll cut Amber some slack because I know she has good intentions and I don’t know what I would want to do in that situation either but I really do hope things don’t get too messy!

Now, what is Evey reaching into his backpack for…?

Okay, that is NOT what I was expecting. In fact, I’m still not expecting it so I’m really hoping it isn’t going to happen. I know he’s just trying to do it a favour by putting it out of its misery but I’m worried he’s going to make things even worse if it’s not done correctly…

I forgot that Evey was a farmer in his previous life and he’s probably witnessed and partaken in a fair share of animal deaths… Eh, I’ll give him some credit for a job well done as sadistic as it sounds. I don’t think Amber is going to come to terms with it anytime soon though…

Yep, she’s definitely not going to come to terms with it anytime soon. But I’m honestly surprised that Evey is taken aback by her declaration of his lack of a heart; is his nonchalant, indifferent self starting to care about her and what she thinks of him more and more?! I smell a love story brewing!

Well, it was half-decent for that driver to drive by and eject a backpack, I’ll give him that. Aww, it’s usually Evey getting angry at Amber but now the tables have turned and I’m not quite sure how I feel about that. Amber rarely gets angry, especially to this extent, and that’s not a good sign.

Woah, I had completely forgotten about West! Props to Peter for bringing him smack in the middle of the ghost city Amber is due at! On a side note, that multicoloured mask and the rest of the outfit complete with a bow tie are clashing so hard right now; I can barely focus on anything else.

Is this city just an illusion? I’m seriously getting those vibes right now.

…Evey can get scared? And of people being rude to him? Things are happening, I tell you, things are happening!

Oh My Gosh, Evey is getting concerned about Amber not talking to him rather than considering it as a blessing of peace and serenity like he would have three days ago! Look at how anxious he is! It’s so adorable! Aaaaaaaaa!!!
