If you treat them well, a dog will always love you. If you treat them well, a kid will think you're yanking their chain and start whining.
Depends on the kid. They are unpredictable of course.

either way, they both have an affinity for grabbing the nearest squeaky toy and refusing to let you take it from them in a pet store XD

I want my likes to be earned though my words. when people find by words interesting, inspiring, entertaining, etc.
Then when I see I'm getting a like, I can know that there is meaning behind it.

Did you know that status posts don't count as messages? Also they can receive likes. That means that it's theoretically possible to be #1 in likes with 0 messages.

So um... I can't work in offices. Less of a today I learnt and more of a finally over years of truth hitting me in my face I finally realised something I should have learnt a long time ago.

I just can't work in an office for a corporation. I just can't. I've tried so hard but I can't function properly. It's like my soul gets drained and my body dies a little. Not only does my work suffer but so does the rest of my life. I use so much mental and emotional energy trying to get work done that I have nothing left of myself to put into anything else.

I don't really know what to do now but I am looking desperately for alternative means of survival.

Aw man, I feel you there. Both of my corporate office jobs I've held in the past felt that way. "Soul-sucking" is an apt descriptor. I've been a lot happier and more fulfilled since switching to pizza delivery, though obviously that's not a viable single source of income for most people. I hope you can find something that works for you, Tee.

TIL there's a city in Montgomery County called "Cut and Shoot" about 40 miles north of Houston. While it's only got a population of 1,087, it has been elected by council to be referred to as a city.

Its name came from a community dispute, likely regarding who was permitted to preach at the local church. All denominations of Christianity were permitted to use the steeple, barring only Mormons and Apostolics, a rule which attracted an Apostolic named Preacher Stamps. Stamps was a well known gad for his frequent visits to saloons, and thus garnered the distaste of half the locals. The other half held that the community church should be open to all denominations, a dispute which quickly escalated to the verge of violence.

How violent? Well, one boy decided he'd take the key to the old church and lock the doors so no one could use it, a decision which spurned one side to break down the doors by force if necessary, bringing with them guns in case the other beligerents decided to stop them. Both sides arrived, arguing and fighting, until another boy got frightened and said "I'm going to cut around the corner and shoot through the bushes in a minute!", a phrase which stuck with the townsfolk and was coined the new name in 1912.

TIL "tattoo gun" is not an acceptable term in the tattooing industry; you should say "tattoo machine"

This is the second time Zules has mentioned tattoos recently, and now I'm convinced she has a full sleeve of Dzuna's many various facial expressions and dresses

TIL... Well anyway. You should call it a tattoo gun to spite whoever thinks that they can override your free will.
