Nothing to be surprised about, really,
it keeps happening to everyone, right?
I’m convinced it’s because of water. Name one person that died who didn’t drink water at some point.

I was just now on a Facebook post, and the predictive auto-replies I was provided with included
  • 😂😂🤣🤣
and
  • 🤣🤣🤣😂
And I have so many questions. Like, is it important that you have 2 of the same laugh in a row VS having 3 in a row before switching? Why are both of these given as distinct options? Are we okay as a society?

It's all been downhill ever since teenage girls in 2011 started saying "LOL" out loud

It seems even more wrong here for me, when someone actually says it as if it was a single syllable word even though it's a written acronym from a foreign language (English).

The first time I heard it was still at school so it had to be 2010 or earlier.

This is precisely the pronunciation I am talking about.

When your own mod calls you out :amberangryblush:

If it's any consolation I did it too, so bad my family gave me the nickname "LOLa" which embarrassed me to the point of not doing it anymore.

I have been lol-clean for 8 years now

I once had a teacher who thought she was trendy. She once started a sentence with the most atrocious thing I’ve ever heard in my life: “By the way, BTW…” I can’t replicate the voice she said it in through text but it was probably worse than you’re imagining.

The proper way to use this thread, of course, is to tag someone online and ask them an extremely personal question see if they want to chat with you!
It seems that this thread has evolved into a general chat board.
