Oxford comma story from another forum:
I mentioned that the "Ox" in "Oxford" looks kind of like the 0x that you see in front of hexadecimal numbers.
Unfortunately "r" is not a hexadecimal digit so I can't know the numeric value of Oxford.
To which I get the reply that I actually can write it like 0x4d (with "for" replaced by "4")
Then we checked which character in ASCII has the value of 0x4d:
It's "M".
which is right next to the comma on the keyboard
(actually, LEFT next to it )
so it can end up mistyped instead of the comma.
So afterwards we sometimes used "M" instead of an Oxford comma, as a joke.
