The great thing about self-publishing is nobody can stop me from titling the book something stupid like this:

The map is close to done! I fixed a lot of the issues I mentioned previously. I also added a hint of color, and I think it looks fairly good now! But I won't post another preview so that you'll be compelled to buy the book to see the final result!!! !!!!

So far I've drawn about 3 concepts that are strong contenders for becoming the cover design. It's pretty hard to balance a pleasing design with something that feels epic--along with making sure there's clarity of message and not too much detail overload.

I also really like minimalist cover designs, so I want to experiment with those, too. My strategy is to keep churning out concepts until I'm certain I have the perfect one

Started laying out the prologue again... Gosh, it's a hard task to fit these fat pages onto a standard book trim size (which is my goal since I want easier worldwide distribution). THEY ARE W I D E

Anyone here old enough to remember the original original chapter 1 cover art? Hint: Amber wasn't on it

Actually, it wasn't so bad--I was being a drama queen.
I'm done with the cover! Now I move on to THE GREATEST CHALLENGE... early chapter 1 pages that were drawn smaller than all other pages, in a different program, and used weird fonts.

Back then I put every single color on a different layer and didn't name my layers :')

After an hour+ of work, the first page of chapter 1 is in the book
