Welcome to the read-a-thon!

This read-a-thon runs from midnight October 25 - end of October 31 UTC time. (Click HERE to view the start time in your time zone by consulting the table.) Please don't participate 'til then!

In this event, read pages of Exvulnerum and affiliate comics EXTRA! and Moxie to earn badges, a chance at prizes, and new perspectives on three awesome webcomics!

How does it work?

For every chapter of Exvulnerum, EXTRA!, or Moxie you read (or reread) and comment on starting October 25th, you will earn a badge! You will earn one badge per chapter read, and the person who gets the most badges for each comic will win a prize!

Requirements to earn a badge:

• Read a chapter in its entirety -- not reading the full chapter is cheating!
• Comment on at least one page of the chapter on the comic's website
• Screenshot or link to your comment(s) here in this thread to receive credit and claim your badge! Only one comment is required per badge/chapter.

This is also a social event, so feel free to chat in this thread with the authors, encourage your fellow readers to grab all the badges they can, and just talk about your webcomic reading experience!!

PRIZES
- The person who earns the most EXTRA! badges will choose ONE of the following prizes:

• a digital illustration of your choice by EXTRA! creator, Christy / @StickFreeks ! (No NSFW or objectionable requests allowed. Drawing will be limited to one character only.)
• OR books 1 & 2 of EXTRA! shipped to you! (limited to US only)

(In the event of a tie, the prize winner will be chosen at random.)

- The person who earns the most Exvulnerum badges will win:

• a one-of-a-kind 5 x 5 inch sketchbook of the Exvulnerum art pieces Zules created for Inktober 2023 (viewable on this thread) mailed to you (internationally is fine, but you may be responsible for a customs fee if applicable)

(In the event of a tie, the prize winner will be chosen at random.)

- The person who earns the most Moxie badges will win:

• a one-of-a-kind Moxie art piece (Caitlin's choice) created in traditional media by Moxie author, Caitlin / @sketchdoll mailed to you (internationally is fine, but you may be responsible for a customs fee if applicable)

(In the event of a tie, the prize winner will be chosen at random.)

In 2021 we had a Read-a-thon with 2 comics--and the same for 2022--but in 2023 we have a supersized event with ALL THREE comics?! Can anyone really read them all?!

I will add here the relevant information from my status discussion:
It's ok to use the brick for reading
(it's faster! (at least for me))
just remember to leave the comment on the website and not on the book.

Also:
we had 2-comic readathons before
now we have a 3-comic readathon.
If the trend continues, next time we will have a readathon with 4 comics?
(quick, someone please make a comic, there is only 1 year left!)

Also, is this a good place to ask, what is the story behind the comics becoming "affiliate comics"?

Glancing through the page chunks via archives has caused me to realize that I never actually finished Moxie?!!? I could have sworn I caught up at one point but I guess not, and now I have to wait a whole four days to catch up, whatever shall I do

Also, is this a good place to ask, what is the story behind the comics becoming "affiliate comics"?

Christy, Caitlin and I all met each other through our webcomics and quickly became fast friends. We're super close and talk with each other every day Becoming affiliates was inevitable! Our comics and our personalities have a lot in common, too; we even have a Venn diagram documenting how similar we all are, lol.

Also, something about differently colored gems and an adventure and fate? I can't remember.

We each found a differently colored gemstone in various dramatic natural areas and picked them up at the same time. They started glowing and pointing us in a direction, and thus began a journey across time and space until we finally met on a sea of stars and the gems fused. Our comics are forever affiliated and I alone am left with the memory.

I read Extra through the un-colored deviantart way back so I am curious to see it all colored!

That's the best part of rereading webcomics. You can actually understand the plot again. Lol.

This is very true. I reread a comic recently that I've been following for a while and I was like 'oh yeah that's why I love it' and 'ohhh that's why that happened...i had forgo' if you like romance: Another Typical Fantasy Romance, is one of the bestest
